Soma Mo was born in southwest China, on the border of Tibet. She is a self-taught jewelry artist who is passionate about integrating Tibetan and Canadian cultural motifs into her unique, asymmetrical pieces. She is a member of the Alberta Craft Council, is a regular participant at local craft fairs and events, and is represented at several regional retail locations. In 2012 Mo began training with a Master in Tibetan silversmithing to learn traditional techniques, which she now employs in her own jewelry making.
