Art Gallery of St. Albert

Housed in the historic Banque d’Hochelaga building in the centre of St. Albert’s vibrant downtown, the Art Gallery of St. Albert (19 Perron Street) offers free entry and activities for all ages.

Visitors first enter the Gallery Shop and Art Rental and Sales area, which includes an Art Nook for hands-on art-making and a former bank vault converted to an intimate feature gallery space.

Visitors can access the unique metal staircase and view feature exhibitions along the way upstairs (or take an elevator) to the stunning Tom Thackeray Gallery. The main exhibition space is dedicated to Tom (who passed away in 2025) in honour of his long-time and exceptional commitment as a Board Trustee with the Arts and Heritage Foundation of St. Albert. Exhibitions change regularly in all spaces and inspire wonder and curiosity.

Art programs such as Exploring Art, Creative Circle, Creative Toddler, ArtVentures and After School Art programs take place in the Basement Studio.
