St. Albert Place Visual Art Studios

St. Albert Place was designed as a ‘People Place' by renowned Architect Douglas Cardinal. It includes a library, a museum, the Arden Theatre, Council Chambers, civic offices, and four professional visual art studios.

Art Gallery of St. Albert offers clay and multi-media art programming to community and school groups within St. Albert Place in partnership with the City of St Albert. These well-equipped artist studios include Pottery, Painting and Multi-craft.

Visual art programs offer individuals an opportunity to work in professional artist studio environments, with inspiring views of St. Albert’s Sturgeon River and Red Willow Park. Visual Art programs offer engaging opportunities to gain multiple learning objectives through hands-on art making experiences in a fun and friendly social setting. Participants explore artist grade materials and art processes as they are led by experienced, professional artists and art instructors.

Community art programs such as Kids Clay, Pottery Wheel Throwing, Hand Building, Painting, Printmaking and Fibre Arts take place on a quarterly basis with online registrations opening in early spring, summer, fall and winter.

Educational visual art programs for school groups take place on weekdays from September to the end of June.
