Working in mixed-media is Doris Charest’s favourite form of painting. Charest experiments with colours and textures through collage, ink, watercolour and acrylic, incorporating string, plaster, wire and even wasp nest pieces into her work. Within each piece is a story waiting to be discovered. Charest has a BFA from the University of Calgary as well as a BED and MED from the University of Alberta and currently teaches and works through her studio in St. Albert.
