Figure Drawing – Open Studio
Tuesday, October 21 from 6:30–9 pm
Come practice your figure drawing in this non-instructional model session! Working from the live model, you can explore figure drawing as you wish, using your favorite materials. Studio equipment such as standing easels, table easels, boards, newsprint paper and pencils will be available, but you are encouraged to bring your own paper and media for exploration. An instructor will be on hand to set the pose, lights, and tend to the model.
In these 2.5-hour sessions we will have a quick gesture warm up and then either 1 or 2 poses, breaking midway for 10 minutes.
Pick of the week
The autumn colours are starting to burnish all the trees in red and gold. Our Pick of the Week by Jim Visser captures that early autumn glow just as the sun is starting to set. "Autumn #2" framed oil on canvas, 12x18".

Additionally, visit the Art Gallery of St. Albert for a free family-friendly art activity in our Art Nook, featuring hands-on arts and crafts that complement our current exhibitions, with activities varying every month.
