Clay Ornament Workshop

No reviews No reviews
Instructor: Shirley Randall

Ages: 15+

Location: Pottery Studio, St. Albert Place

Create a variety of clay ornaments in this two-night beginner pop-up class! On the first evening, our instructor will demonstrate how to roll out a slab of clay and create flat ornaments using various cut-out templates and texture rollers. You will also learn to decorate your work with underglazes and underglaze transfers. On the second evening, you can choose multiple colours and glaze your ornaments to give them a shiny, durable finish.

You can expect to make 10–15 ornaments each. You are welcome to bring your own cookie cutters (max 4 inches) if they have a unique ornament shape in mind. Clay ornaments will be available for pickup at the Art Gallery of St Albert two weeks after class. We will notify participants by email when the ornaments are ready for pickup.

Art supplies included.
