The Christopher Kazoleas Memorial Scholarship Winners – Hall of Fame

The Christopher Kazoleas Memorial Scholarships are awarded to six students taking part in the annual High Energy exhibition at the Art Gallery of St. Albert. The scholarships recognized excellence – in creativity, ingenuity, skill and imagination. They celebrate the bold choices, experimentation and bravery shown by St. Albert’s young artists. All of this is possible thanks to the generosity and patronage of the Kazoleas Family.

The award was established in 2024 to honour Christopher Kazoleas. Sadly, Christopher passed much too young. As someone who was inspired to draw and create, the family loved the idea of setting up a prize in his name that encourages and supports the next generation of artists.

The six awards are:

  • Excellence in drawing
  • Excellence in painting / mixed media
  • Excellence in sculpture
  • Excellence by a student in grade 10
  • Excellence by a student in grade 11
  • Excellence by a student in grade 12

The winner receives a cash prize and gets their artwork featured in the Christopher Kazoleas Memorial Scholarship hall of Fame and will be shown at the Arden Youth Gallery in the month of June.
