Rayma Peterson, BSc. BEd., is an award winning artist who has shown her artwork internationally and is represented in many private and public collections, including the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. She has created botanical drawings for interpretive signs at the Devonian Botanic Garden and the George Pegg Historic Garden. Besides teaching art to all age groups, including university, she has given professional development workshops for teachers and master gardeners. She recently completed writing and illustrating an Art 30 course for the Alberta Distance Learning Centre. Her artwork and articles have been published in Watercolor, Legacy, arts & activities, School Arts, Artichoke, and Wildflowermagazines. With her degree in Botany, her specialty is painting watercolors of plants in their native habitats.
