Meghana Gauthier

Meghana brings a vivid, expressive energy to contemporary botanical art. While she grew up in British Columbia, surrounded by lush landscapes that nurtured her love of nature, it was Edmonton that truly shaped her artistic journey. She discovered her calling there after enrolling in a workshop in 2011.

Working primarily in acrylics and collage, Meghana also enjoys exploring oil paint, ink, encaustics, and drawing mediums such as oil pastels. As a mother of two young boys, she thoughtfully adapts her creative process to fit family life, often making smaller works in water‑based media from her kitchen table. Her inspiration flows from the everyday—houseplants, cats, botanical illustrations, textile design, and the influence of East Asian painting. She continues to grow her practice through workshops in printmaking, watercolour, and portraiture.
