Karen Blanchet gained her artistic foundation at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney, Australia. Having acquired a teaching certificate from the University of Saskatchewan, she taught and continued to explore different media on various surfaces. Now living in Edmonton, she opened Inspirations, a gallery/studio, in her back yard in 2014. A founding member of Devenir, she helped organize the collective in 2016 and the group DDK in 2019.
