Diana Ohiozebau is a British-born artist raised in Nigeria, currently living in Edmonton. Ohiozebau received a MFA from the University of Calgary and is completig a Bachelor’s of Education at the University of Alberta. Ohiozebau’s art bears a deep connection to her African identity and culture, referencing broader cultural and social concerns as well as her personal experiences. Using a variety of mixed media techniques, Ohiozebau combines textiles, yarn, and paint to create beautiful and meaningful artwork. Ohiozebau has exhibited in Alberta and Saskatchewan and her feature exhibition Through the Tideis scheduled at the Art Gallery of St. Albert in 2021.
