The Tipi as Home

Grade(s): 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12

Location: Musée Héritage Museum

Program Delivery: In Person and In School

The Tipi is a home that moves around but maintains a strong foundation. Students start with building a tipi while learning about the people, their traditions and values; why the poles are so important; and the value associated with each Tipi pole. The students then gather to share objects and compare Tipis.
