Learn how to increase your garden’s productivity with local gardening expert Charles Schroder. 

Topics include how to create fertile soil, compost, mulch, a simple technique to construct raised beds, how to reduce the amount of water needed for your plants, no-till techniques, the need for crop rotation, watering techniques, organic pest control and other gardening techniques that will significantly increase your garden’s yield.

The workshop will begin with a walk through of the community garden. We will then move into the basement classroom located inside the replica train station (elevator available.) Please dress for the weather.

NO FEE (please register in advance)

When: Thurs. Sept. 21, 2023, from 6-8 PM. 

Where: St. Albert’s Historic River Lots + Grain Elevators located at 4 Meadowview Drive in St. Albert.
