Projects
Needle-felted Wall Hanging: Participants will create a simple design for their wall hanging and then learn to use colourful wool roving to felt their design onto a background colour of their choice! We will also attach a ribbon onto our wall hangings, so they are ready to display.
Oil Pastel Drawings: Our instructor will demonstrate a variety of oil pastel drawing techniques. Each participant will create an oil pastel drawing on dark paper and try out creating an oil pastel transfer drawing as well!
Painted Tote Bags: Each participant will receive a sturdy fabric tote bag to decorate. Our instructor will guide everyone through planning and sketching out their own designs, and then painting these unique patterns and images onto their tote bag to create a work of art.
Mixed-Media Sketchbook: Learn to cut, fold, and assemble your very own artist sketchbook! Participants will choose from lots of options for their sketchbook covers, create their books, and decorate their books with India ink, markers, and more. Add a secret pocket and bookmark to your sketchbook too!
