Before his passing in early 2019, St. Albert area artisan Rene Parenteau created exquisite pens and wooden works from a wide variety of exotic woods. Using a lathe, he would shape each pen while the wood was soft then select hardware to compliment the character of the wood grain and hue. Parenteau’s pens range from clean, simple designs, to more intricate creations.
